The organic casein protein is particularly suitable for consumption in the evening, as it continuously supplies the body with amino acids for several hours. Perfect for supporting muscle building overnight and counteracting catabolic processes during sleep. Also as a filling snack between meals.

Preparation as a shake

Add 30 g (approx. 3 tablespoons) of powder to 300 ml of milk, plant-based drink or water and then mix with a shaker or blender. Pour in the liquid first, then the powder.

Possible applications

The classic shake is an efficient source of protein, but it is not the only way to get protein from food. The powder is also ideal as an addition to smoothies, bowls, porridges or yoghurt.

What is micellar casein?

Micellar casein is the natural form of casein protein in milk. It is obtained by gentle filtration from organic skimmed milk and contains no chemical additives. In contrast to other types of casein (e.g. caseinate), the protein structure is retained - this ensures particularly slow absorption in the body.

What is casein particularly suitable for?

Casein is ideal for situations in which your body needs to be supplied with protein for several hours - e.g. overnight, between meals, during fasting phases or during long outdoor activities. It protects the muscles from breakdown (anti-catabolic) and supports continuous regeneration.

When is the best time to take organic casein?

The best time for casein is before going to bed, as it supports muscle recovery overnight. It is also suitable during the day as a filling snack or source of protein between meals - especially if you have longer breaks between meals.

How does casein differ from whey (whey protein)?

Whey protein is digested quickly and quickly supplies the muscles with amino acids - ideal directly after training.

Casein, on the other hand, is digested slowly and releases the amino acids over many hours - ideal overnight or during longer periods of exertion. Both proteins complement each other perfectly in everyday life.

Is the product gluten-free and low in lactose?

The organic micellar casein is gluten-free. It naturally contains milk sugar (lactose), so it is not suitable for people with severe lactose intolerance. In some cases, however, casein is well tolerated by people with mild lactose sensitivity - please note individual tolerance.
